We welcome your views about child protection arrangements in Pembrokeshire

We will be jointly looking at child protection arrangements in Pembrokeshire in February alongside Estyn, Healthcare 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Wales, and His Majesty’s 17³Ô¹ÏÍø of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.

The purpose of the review (referred to as JICPA) will be an evaluation of how local services across agencies respond to protecting children aged 11 and under who are at risk of abuse and neglect.

If you are a child or young person who receives or has received care and support services from Pembrokeshire  County Council, or you are a relative of someone who does, we would like to hear about your experiences.

We would be grateful if you could complete the relevant survey below and give us your feedback by 17 February.

Background

Following previous successful joint inspections, the 2025/26 JICPA programme will be a systems review of child protection in each regional safeguarding board and police force area in Wales, to identify positive practice and any areas for improvement.

Safeguarding children is a multi-agency responsibility which is why we work with fellow inspectorates Estyn, Healthcare 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Wales, and His Majesty’s 17³Ô¹ÏÍø of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services, on these inspections.
