The review looked at the multi‑agency response to abuse and neglect of children in Wales’s six regional safeguarding board areas between 2019 and 2024.
These Joint Inspections of Child Protection Arrangements were a cross-inspectorate piece of work by 17³Ô¹ÏÍø, His Majesty’s 17³Ô¹ÏÍø of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS), Healthcare 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Wales (HIW) and Estyn.
Inspections took place in Newport (2019), Neath Port Talbot (2021), Denbighshire (2023), Bridgend (2023), Powys (2023) and Cardiff (2024).
